Pour water on the soil where you intend to plant your carrots until it’s pretty moist. Press the seeds into the soil.

Dip the denim pieces into a bucket of water so they are dripping wet. Lay the piece of fabric on top of the seeds.

Drizzle more water on top of the denim to ensure it’s sopping wet. The denim won’t dry quickly, keeping your seeds moist for up to 10 days.

Don’t miss…

In the comments, people couldn’t wait to try this trick.

“Yes!!!! At first I didn’t realise how much they need to be watered,” one person wrote.

Another said they tried it: “Ahhh! I watched this video 3 weeks ago and all my carrots sprouted! Never grown a carrot though I’ve tried. Thank you!!!”

Someone asked if they need sunlight, and @5mingardener said the seeds don’t need sunlight during the germination phase. After 10 to 14 days, the denim should be removed to let the light in.
